As every year, the exhibition dedicated to the world of Maison & Objet, located in Villepinte near Paris, made us discover the latest trends in decoration. We give you a little recap of what should not be missed!
Laura Gonzalez, an architect honored
This year, 37-year-old architect Laura Gonzalez is named designer of the year! Adept of China, she founded her agency Pravda Arkitect in 2008 and is accompanied by a team of craftsmen and young designers. She worked for the interior decoration of the shops of big houses like Louboutin or Cartier by proposing marked and heterogeneous identities.
The decoration of workspaces
This year, it is the workspaces that are put forward with the theme WORK !. Indeed, they are digitizing and evolve to offer coworking spaces. This is why the decoration of these spaces is worked to offer a relaxing environment and getting closer to the atmosphere of the house. Indeed, this dynamic offers workers a pleasant and healthy feeling for working in good conditions.
A new working environment
Under the impetus of new technologies, workplaces are off the beaten track to provide spaces for diversion, restoration and healing. One feels “at home” while keeping the mind free and airy to work properly. Companies even go as far as developing gyms or organizing business games. This also strengthens team cohesion. To do this, the decoration is designed with natural materials such as wood, vegetation for the living side and brighter and less sober colors to illuminate the spaces.
Trendy colors for 2019/2020
This year, Maison & Objet showcased several trendy colors that should not be missed for the decoration of your interiors and exteriors.
Terracotta color
On the show, this year it is the colors Terracotta with burnt oranges, peaches and powdered roses that are mainly highlighted. To respond to this style, Cimenterie de la Tour has created a new M1912 cement tile in these colors. This motif is at the same time traditional because of its motive and modern thanks to these colors. He can imagine on the floors of a kitchen, in an entrance hall or in a living room.
Mustard yellow and green
For almost 2 years, mustard yellow and green are colors that appeal to decoration. We also know that green reminds nature and mustard yellow warms the living rooms. We created the Jungle Carocim M1386 to combine it with these two trendy colors.
The old rose
We still love the old rose and the living room too! It is an elegant and soft color that can be married with deeper ones like the midnight blue, the anthracite gray and the moss green. This will create a totally modern environment. We recommend the mosaic tile M3152 to respond to this style.
The shades of blue
The blue trends in decoration are midnight blue, gray blue or turquoise blue. We like them a lot on the floors or on the walls in painting. We found at Leroy Merlin a painting Blue Gray Mate at a low price. This paint can be combined with the M3380 floor tile.
